The story behind Sicilian Street Bites

From Catania to your table. This is Jomar's story.

Born and raised in Catania, Sicily, I grew up eating tavola calda — the warm, golden street food that fills every market and corner bakery in the city. When I moved to London, I missed it. So I decided to bring it here myself.

About Me

Born in Sicily. Building something in London.

I'm Jomar. I grew up in Catania, where tavola calda isn't a trend — it's everyday life. Bolognese from the bakery before school. Cartocciate at the market on Saturdays. Bombe fritte at the festa. When I moved to London, I couldn't find anything like it. Not the real thing. So I started making it myself — the same way it's always been done in Sicily. By hand, with proper dough, real fillings, and no shortcuts. Sicilian Street Bites is my way of sharing that with London. One bite at a time.
